Our Alten winery is located in an idyllic Moselle region of the Middle Moselle directly on the river. In addition to the flat areas on the plain, it is mainly the slopes and steep slopes above the Detzemer Schleuse that are exclusively reserved for Riesling. There the vines thrive on the steep slopes in the slate soil. Located on the Moselle Valley Path, which is the only hiking trail in the Roman Wine Route wine culture landscape that connects four wine-growing communities, you will be rewarded with a great view of the Moselle Valley.

Last year in June we opened our ostrich tavern. Here you can not only enjoy our delicious wines, but also let us pamper you with delicious wine-accompanying dishes with a wonderful view of the Moselle. In order to eat something different with the wine, we have developed a couple of delicious toasted breads in variations for you; there is also something sweet. Of course there is also cheese and antipasti to go with the wine. Come by and let yourself be surprised.
