The Bastgen winery is a small artisan winery that is one of the organic pioneers of the Middle Moselle.

Year after year, the aim is to produce the best grapes for distinctive wines. The owners, Mona and Armin and Paul, are winegrowers with heart and soul who go into the vineyard every day. Here, they see their task in the careful care of the soil and vines. In summer, wild and sown herbs grow between the vines on the steep Moselle slopes, which also enriches the fauna enormously. Even organic viticulture is a monoculture, but it can still be filled with diverse life. Above all, what happens in the soil is ultimately also important for the vines. The frequently used term ‘terroir’ takes on its fundamental meaning here. Visit the local winegrowers, learn more about their wine philosophy and taste the fruits of their labour.
