Wine is as important to Winningen as the Moselle. On the steep slopes, wines of unique taste grow on slate terraces piled high on top of each other. From the best Riesling terraces Uhlen and Röttgen Günter Kröber makes dry and fine tart wines with a fine-bred elegance! Günter Kröber has specialized entirely in gentle vinification. Sorting and selection of the grapes by hand, gentle pressing with compressed air, slow chilled fermentation, gentle cold aging and a late racking from the yeast to preserve the aromas. The result of this work is floral, aromatically mature, racy Rieslings full of character with high longevity. Günter Kröber's Riesling wines are almost exclusively dry and feinherb. Much to the delight of the many wine connoisseurs and judges at last year's wine competitions.
