1982: Focus on top dry wines

Gerhard Grans took over the winery from his father Matthias, which then had 4 hectares of vineyards, which he slowly and steadily expanded to include the best locations. Since then he has been focusing on top-quality dry wines, which currently make up 80% of our range.

2001: Member of the VDP

Since this year we have been a member of the Association of German Prädikatsweingüter (VDP). The trademark of the VDP consistently signals exceptional qualities. We are proud to have been with us since 2001.

2017: Generational change

Gerhard Grans ‘daughter Catherina runs the winery in the 13th generation. She completed her studies in Geisenheim as a Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Enology, which was then supplemented by the European Master of Science in Viticulture & Enology and various internships.
