Short facts
- Löf
- winery/wine cellar, wine…
The Moselle. Wine culture with tradition. Already 2000 years ago the Romans used the Moselle as a wine-growing area.
The Grieß-Dany family is now living this tradition in the 3rd generation. The Grieß-Dany family: In 1921, at the height of Moselle winegrowing, Rainer Grieß-Dany's grandfather took over the estate directly on the Moselle. Rainer Grieß-Dany is already the third generation to run the vineyard.
The sites: The Löfer Sonnenring vineyard is a steep site with slopes of up to 50%. The terraces consist of a high percentage of blue and gray slate as well as clay slate and graywacke. The Löfer Goldblume site opens up the area to the well-known wine village of Hatzenport in various terrain formations from flat to terraced sites.
What distinguishes our wine? Our vines are up to 60 years old and are harvested by hand. The great age of the vines provides outstanding quality with a reduced harvest.
