The Moselle wine-growing region is the oldest wine region in Germany. Located between the Eifel and Hunsrück, the wine region along the Moselle had its origins as early as the Romans. Found wine presses from this time provide evidence of this. The vineyards of the Heinz Porten winery and distillery from Bekond can also be found in this wine-growing region.
