Weingut Hof Sonnental

Directly under our guesthouse are the cellars, which were gradually built by the everlasting development of the winery. There, the red wines mature in small oak barrels - the so-called "barriques" - towards taste perfection, while the fruit-driven white wines are vinified in principle in modern stainless steel tanks.

In 2010, the entire cellar complex was renovated from the ground up and brought up to the latest technical standards. This coupled with a lot of experience and personal commitment makes the quality of the wines of Carlo Weis. Growing and maturing, sensitivity and feeling for the natural processes in the vineyard and cellar - no more and no less!

After several years of construction, the treasure chamber has now been completed entirely by our own efforts and offers our guests a visual as well as drinking pleasure. The rarities of the generations Heinrich Steffes, Klaus Weis & Carlo Weis are now maturing here.
