The Leo Fuchs vineyard is one of the oldest and most traditional vineyards on the Moselle, with 11 hectares of vineyards in the best locations on the longest southern slope between Pommern and Klotten. It has been family-owned since 1624. "I want to make the slate and the soil unmistakably palatable and produce wines with character that are a joy to drink." This is the quality philosophy of thoroughbred winemaker Ulrich. His recipe for success: wine, for good reason. With deep respect for the soil, the good ground on which his vines stand, Ulrich consciously and sustainably cultivates his vineyards and makes good wine a pleasure. This is how, year after year, wine and sparkling wine personalities of strong character are created, from Riesling to Rosé, which, with fine fruit and mineral slate spiciness, stand for where they come from: for a good reason. See for yourself!

The Leo Fuchs Wine Estate is one of the oldest and most historic wine estates in Pommern. We have been maintaining this winegrowing tradition since 1624; for us, it is both a moral obligation and an incentive.

Today, we put a lot of personal commitment and technical knowledge into growing Riesling at the best weathered steep-slope vineyards. A healthy vintage in moderate quantities from old vines and optimum grape ripeness are the winegrowing bases for our high quality standard. We place particularly emphasis on clean and cautious oenology with traditional methods using contemporary technology.
We are a 100% white-wine wine estate and specialise in Riesling and white Burgundy varieties.
