The winery is located in Leiwen on the Zummethöhe with a fantastic panoramic view of the Moselle loop near Leiwen and Trittenheim. Almost all of the vineyard's vineyards can be admired from here. The winery looks back on almost 400 years of family tradition. Today Ernst-Albrecht Loersch and son Alexander cultivate the 4.5 hectare vineyard area. The cultivation of the vines concentrates on 90% Riesling and 10% Pinot Noir in the steep slopes of the Trittenheimer Apotheke, Trittenheimer Altärchen, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen and Dhroner Hofberg. Young winemaker Alexander Loersch, a certified viticulture technician, has been responsible for the expansion of the wines in the cellar since 2002.

Young winemaker Alexander Loersch, a certified viticulture technician, has been responsible for the expansion of the wines in the cellar since 2002. Viticulture is the focus of Alexander's life. As it has been for generations before him. The family's viticulture can be traced back to 1640. Today Alexander Loersch runs the family business and is actively supported by his whole family. His father Ernst Albrecht ran the winery successfully until 2008. As early as 2002, Alexander took over the management of the cellar and began to implement his philosophy of terroir-shaped, single-fruity, long-lasting wines typical of the area and vintage. The focus here is clearly on Riesling. It is important to him to give the wines their own individual character. Selected vines in classic steep slopes, selective hand-picking, gentle grape processing, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, calm and time are the decisive success factors for the high-quality top Riesling from Loersch. Numerous awards such as The Riesling Producer Award, Best German Wine Producer Austrian Wine Challenge, State Honor Award, Honorary Award of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and several winning wines at various tastings such as the annual tasting of the Moselle, Riesling Champion, state wine award, Capital Tasting magazine confirm the top quality of the wines. Due to the near-natural cultivation without mineral fertilization and with natural greening, the soil remains lively and offers a habitat for a wide variety of animals, insects and wild herbs. Our panoramic terrace, which was extensively renovated in 2018, has an adjoining breakfast room and a panoramic terrace. Up to 30 people can be accommodated here. 20 km of rivers and 12 different steep slopes can be admired from here. A unique look! Maybe even the most beautiful in the Moselle region. In 2019 it was awarded as the best foresight in Germany.
