Vineyard in the middle of greenery
The winery Maximin Grünhaus is one of the most renowned establishments in Germany. The unique former monastery complex has been privately owned by the von Schubert family since 1882. Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc are cultivated on 34 hectares with the highest quality standards and are fermented spontaneously. The vines grow on three monopole sites directly opposite the estate. All three sites are classified as VDP.GROSSE LAGEN and are named after the old monastery hierarchy: Bruderberg, Herrenberg, and Abtsberg. Here, wines of international renown are produced.
Our portfolio is divided into the estate bottlings Maximin Grünhaus (with VDP eagle) and our wine brand MAXIMIN*. All wines are vinified according to the guidelines of our strict quality philosophy.
