The Maximinerhof winery is a small family business located in Kenn on the Moselle River, not far from Trier. The former farm of the Abbey of St. Maximin, which is marked to the year 1739, belongs meanwhile in 5th generation to the Schu family. It was not until the Neapolitan secularization of the monasteries that the estate came into private ownership of the family ancestors. Today the winery is managed by the young winemaker Bernd Schu. His credo is manual labor and sustainability, which is reflected in the wonderful quality of the wines.
