We are a family-run business that cultivates its vineyards as a secondary occupation. We handle all tasks from pruning the vines to producing the finished wine ourselves. The pursuit of quality is self-evident work for us. Every year, we create wines that will delight you anew again and again. Thus, every bottle is a pleasure. The romantic wine and vacation spot Kinheim is located in the heart of the Middle Moselle, on the left bank of the large Moselle loop between Bernkastel-Kues and Kröv, nestled between the Eifel and Hunsrück. Here in the district of Kindel is our winery and the comfortably furnished 4-star vacation apartment. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and spend a relaxing holiday with a Moselle winemaker. We look forward to your visit Your family Rieth https://weingut-rieth.de/ueber-uns/
Grape Varieties:
Müller Thurgau
Named after its breeder, this grape variety is a cross between Riesling and Silvaner. Hence the name RIVANER. This variety ripens very early and produces mild, moderately acidic, fragrant wines.
Riesling
The most valuable German quality grape has been known since the 16th century. It has small berries and a spicy character, ripens very late, and yields racy, elegant wines. The top German wines made from the Riesling grape enjoy a legendary reputation and are considered the best white wines in the world.
It is particularly well-suited for long aging.
Pinot Blanc
This grape produces a powerful, full-bodied wine with plenty of floral notes and character. The wines of Pinot Blanc are characterized by their very soft, mild acidity and delicate bouquet.
Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the classic red wine variety, also known as “Pinot Noir.” The wines from Pinot Noir are distinguished by their deep ruby red color, sometimes illuminated by a warm brown tone. In taste, the fine nuances reminiscent of blackberries, sour cherries, and other berry fruits are the main components of the aromatic profile.
Dornfelder
The Dornfelder presents itself with a deep red color and a concentrated, tannin-driven flavor. Its fine bouquet recalls elderberry and blackberry fruits.
