We refine our Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Rivaner grapes into varied, fascinating wines and sparkling wines, which we develop individually. Our vines thrive splendidly in the best terroir. Our slopes have a south and south-west slope. Our vineyards on the plains are not shaded by mountains, so there are optimal conditions there too. Due to the special location of Detzem and its vineyards, we have four soil types available on our two individual layers, Detzemer Würzgarten and Detzemer Maximiner Klosterlay. This allows us to plant grape varieties that often make very different demands on the vineyard soils. Through years of precise quality management, our wines have reached an impressive level. We achieve our high quality with first-class grapes and a lot of knowledge about the wine. We lay the foundation for beautiful, extract-rich grapes with the pruning in winter: a few buds and only a vine arch with a low yield is the prerequisite for this.
