The Sonneneck winery of the Schwarz and Bleser families is located in Müden, a small village about 2 km downstream from Treis-Kaden, idyllically situated on the slopes of the Moselle. The basis for good wine is laid in the vineyard: In the steep vineyard slopes of the Funkenberg and the Müdener St. Castorhöhle site, the basis for the distinctive Moselle wines is laid all year round. From the cultivation of the soil to the training of the vines, from the right pruning at the right time to the harvest, skill and diligence are always required. More than 60 % of the vineyard is planted with the typical Moselle grape, the Riesling. In addition, we also grow the blue Pinot Noir and Rivaner. In the wine cellar, Dr. Marcus Bleser combines the experience of the fathers and the current knowledge about the production of the wines. The range includes dry, semi-dry and sweet Riesling wines, for which the Moselle has gained world fame. However, we are particularly pleased to be able to offer you the 16 vintages of ice wine listed as rarities. Rarities and highly awarded wines are the treasures of our wine cellar, which you can taste on site (for groups by appointment). The reward for the work in the vineyard but also in the cellar are the awards that our wines receive every year from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture, the German Agricultural Society (DLG) or at the Premium Select Wine Challenge.Holidays with us:Our holiday flat in the naturally renovated historic half-timbered house Lohmühle offers a probably unique holiday experience. The Sonnenring holiday flat, which was completed in June 2008, offers an idyllic view of the Moselle. The flat is located on the top floor of the Sonneneck winery. The breakfast balcony with morning sun is on the slope side, while the living area, also with balcony, offers valley views to the west side. Unfortunately, both holiday flats are not handicapped accessible. A third holiday flat is permanently rented.
