Weingut Werner Longen

After training as a winemaker and further education as a vineyard technician, Werner Longen has been operating the winery in Ruwer in its 4th generation. He exclusively ages his wines in stainless steel tanks and is equally passionate about the distillation of fruit and pomace brandies. Despite having introduced his own line of Burgundies a few years ago, the focus traditionally remains on Riesling. The origin of today's estate dates back to the Maximiner Hof, a country estate of the Abbey of St. Maximin in Trier. The oldest parts of the building are over 200 years old. The vaulted cellar, a rustic barn, and a courtyard full of atmosphere have remained virtually unchanged to this day.
