In the Moselle village Ürzig lies the Berres winery. The family has been growing wine on the Moselle for over 500 years. Now in the 21st generation, the business is managed by Markus Berres. They cultivate 3.5 hectares of vineyards in the Ürziger Würzgarten, Goldwingert and Erdener Treppchen locations. In these locations, vines with true roots still grow, from which noble wines are produced. As the majority of the vineyards are cultivated only on steep and steep-sided sites, manual work is required. In addition to Riesling, Pinot Blanc has also been cultivated since 2005. The winery has received several awards from the magazines Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. Also recommended are the wines of Meiningers Weinwelt. If you would like to spend your Moselle holidays on a winery, a guest house is available for you.
