In Maring-Noviand on the Moselle you will find the Arthur Melsheimer winery. The winery dates back to the 12th century and was formerly a monastery farm. In the course of secularisation under Napoleon, the Melsheimer family acquired it.
Today, the winery is run in its sixth generation as an organic winery. Here, modernity and tradition go hand in hand, and the wines are aged both in traditional wooden casks and in modern stainless steel tanks. The wines mature in the wooden casks located in the historical part of the over 850-year-old wine cellar. The stainless steel tanks are situated in the new part. The vineyards are located in the Maring-Noviander Sonnenuhr and Honigberg, as well as Graacher Himmelreich. The guiding principle in the vineyard is organic cultivation. Therefore, everything is done holistically in harmony with nature. Additionally, biodiversity in the vineyard is promoted. The wines can be tasted during a wine tasting at the monastery. Alternatively, you can spend your Mosel holiday at the winery. Four holiday apartments are available at the monastery.
