In Maring-Noviand on the Moselle you will find the Arthur Melsheimer winery. The winery dates back to the 12th century and was formerly a monastery farm. In the course of secularisation under Napoleon, the Melsheimer family acquired it. Today the winery is managed as an organic winery in the sixth generation. As modernity and tradition go hand in hand here, the wines are matured both in fuder barrels and in modern stainless steel tanks. The wines mature in the Fuder barrels in the historical part of the over 850-year-old wine cellar. The stainless steel tanks are in the new part. The vineyards are located in Maring-Noviander Sonnenuhr and Honigberg as well as Graacher Himmelreich. In the vineyard the guidelines of organic cultivation apply. For this reason, we deal with nature as a whole. In addition, the diversity of species in the vineyard is promoted. The wines can be tasted at a wine tasting in the monastery. Or you can spend your Moselle holiday in the winery. Four holiday apartments are available in the monastery for this purpose.
