Winery Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler

Extensive vineyard care combined with low yields and selective hand harvesting are the guarantors of extraordinary wines with individual character. The vineyards are the most important asset of the Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler winery. Their unique combination of moderate temperatures, steep slopes, and slate soils makes the wines unique worldwide. 
A strict, selective hand harvest ensures that only the best grapes make it into the cellar. This quality-oriented approach continues in the cellar. The gentle treatment of the grape material and the young wines is of utmost importance. The wines are carefully vinified in small stainless steel tanks to ensure that the typical vineyard notes come to the forefront. Fermentation takes place at controlled low temperatures to preserve the complex aroma diversity and vitality of the wines.
The Riesling collection is very diverse. In most vintages, one can find all variations of this great grape variety, from juicy, hearty table wines to fine Kabinett wines, and even creamy, sweet botrytis selection.

We look forward to welcoming you in "Dr. Pauly’s tasting and study cellar" – our wine shop. There, you have the opportunity to taste our Riesling and Pinot Noir wines in the chapel, in the 18th-century vaulted cellar, or in the Baroque hall.
