Dorothee Zilliken leads the VDP estate Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken in the 11th generation, which has always stood for unique Rieslings that are as delicate, fine, intricate, and rich in finesse as a graceful butterfly! Together with her husband Philipp and her parents Ruth & Hanno, she cultivates 13 ha in the VDP.GROSSEN LAGEN Saarburger RAUSCH & Ockfener BOCKSTEIN.
The family focuses with great sensitivity on the essentials and dedicates 100% to Riesling. A lot of time is taken for the nature-friendly vineyard work and care. The aging of the wines in the cellar, which resembles a stalactite cave, is done leisurely in traditional oak barrels, some of which are over 70 years old. Because to produce fine, elegant & brilliant Zilliken Rieslings, one primarily needs one thing: patience!
