You will find the Geierslay Winery in Wintrich on the Moselle. The winegrowing family has been dedicated to winegrowing for generations. The Geierslay is a former monastery estate of Himmerod Abbey, first mentioned in 1254.

The Kilburg family has been involved in viticulture since 1465, making them one of the oldest winemaking families in the Moselle region. The grape varieties grow in the vineyards of Wintrich and Piesport. Riesling, the most commonly grown grape variety, thrives in the sites of Wintricher Großer Herrgott, Wintricher Ohligsberg, Wintricher Geierslay, and Piesporter Treppchen. Burgundy and red wine varieties can be found in the sites of Wintricher Geierslay and Wintricher Großer Herrgott. Rivaner and Kerner are cultivated in the vineyard of Wintricher Großer Herrgott. You can taste the wines in the wine tavern of the winery. From the terrace, you have a view over the Moselle. Alternatively, you can have a wine tasting at the winery.
