The Günther Steinmetz winery is located in the Moselle village of Brauneberg. Out of respect for tradition, the winery focuses on sustainable viticulture. Therefore the winegrowing takes place in harmony with nature. In the vineyard, classical grape varieties such as Riesling and Pinot Noir are used. The vineyards are located in the Brauneberg area like the Brauneberger Juffer. The grape varieties also grow in the Kestener Paulinshofberg, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Wintricher Geierslay and Oligsberg, Mülheimer Sonnenlay, Veldenzer Grafschafter Sonnenberg and Dhroner Hofberg vineyards. The 9 hectares of vineyards are located on the steep slopes of the Moselle. In addition, Riesling plots with genuine roots are acquired. In the cellar economy any additives are renounced, so that wines with an own character develop. The wines are mentioned in the wine guide Gault & Millau. But also the wine critics Antonio Galloni and Yves Beck recommend the wines of the winery.
