Our winery Hugo Hower is located in the wine village of Lieser on the mosel, right next to Bernkastel-Kues. It has been family-owned since 1684 and traditionally bears the name of the grandfather "Hugo Hower".
For generations, we have combined tradition, craftsmanship and a modern approach to winemaking.
Our vineyards are mainly situated on the steep slopes of the Moselle, including the renowned site Lieserer Niederberg-Helden. Environmentally friendly viticulture, careful manual work and a deep respect for nature and terroir form the foundation of our elegant, character-driven Moselle wines, with Riesling at their heart.
Today, the winery is run with passion by winemaker Stefan Loersch and winemaker Eva-Maria Loersch, together with their family. Their wines are authentic, clear in style and true to their origin.
Since 2023, our modern vinotheque has welcomed guests in a new setting. From Easter to the end of October, we invite you to enjoy our wines on site – by the glass, accompanied by small regional delicacies from the winemaker’s kitchen, outdoors or during one of our wine tastings and events.
Whether you are a wine lover or a visitor exploring the Moselle region, we look forward to welcoming you personally.
