Hey, I'm Jan Bollig.

My passion for viticulture has been with me since childhood. I spent many happy hours in the vineyard with my uncle, which ignited my enthusiasm for this profession. I gained my first insights into cellar work at an early age, and it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to run my own winery one day. Thus, I began my training as a winemaker at the age of 16. In 2021, I successfully completed my technician degree in viticulture and oenology in Bad Kreuznach.

As a young winemaker, I see it as my duty to continue the long tradition of viticulture in the beautiful wine culture landscape of the Mosel while connecting traditional methods with modern, fresh ideas.

My winery encompasses about 3 hectares of vineyard area, with Riesling, the royal grape variety, at the center. I also care deeply about nature conservation.

Our vineyards are predominantly located on steep slopes, offering a spectacular view of the Mosel valley. These special slate soils impart a unique mineral character to the wines that is found nowhere else in the world. My goal as a passionate young winemaker is to create excellent Mosel wines from the best fully ripe grapes.
