vinery

A lance for the Elbling. The small, fine winery near the Luxembourg border can look back on a long tradition of winemaking. All wines from the 2012 vintage onward are produced organically and awarded the ECOVIN seal. On the heavy, deep limestone soil, the Riesling is rather rare; however, the varieties Elbling, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and the newly added grape varieties Sauvignac and Satin Noir thrive excellently. Thus, at the Karl Sonntag winery, independent, harmonious wines and Crémants are created with much passion.

Wine tasting & sales are available by appointment or during the stated opening hours.

Visit the historic winery in the most beautiful section of the southern wine Moselle. You will feel immediately at home in the stylishly furnished guest rooms. The charming tri-border area of Germany-France-Luxembourg is ideal for hiking and cycling, or simply relax in the Mediterranean courtyard with a refreshing glass of Elbling or Crémant. In the over 100-year-old cross-vault cellar, breakfast is served for overnight guests. Wine tastings and events for up to 60 people also take place here.
