Paulinshof - Riesling passion from the best slate steep locations. Eleven hundred years of wine culture - the former St. Paulin monastery estate and today family-run Riesling winery Paulinshof is located in the holiday resort of Kesten.

We live and work in one of the oldest wineries in the most traditional wine region of Germany. The Paulinshof has a long tradition that dates back at least to the early Middle Ages. At that time, the vineyard was operated as a monastery estate of the Church of St. Paulin in Trier. An old document from 936 notes a return of vineyards by King Henry. After the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine by the French in 1794, the St. Paulin monastery estate was secularized and transferred into private hands. Even today, we vinify wines from the best steep slopes of the Middle Moselle: Brauneberger Juffer, Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr, Brauneberger Kammer *exclusively owned*, Kestener Paulinshofberg.
We stand for a holistic wine production from the valuable slate locations that have been cultivated by hand since time immemorial. From the nature-friendly management of the vineyards to the careful, selective handpicking and gentle processing of the grapes, right through to natural aging and only cautious use of traditional and modern techniques, wines with intense aromas and
elegant finesse unfold with patience and time.

We are convinced that the fascination of such wines arises only from the interplay of the extraordinary slate locations formed over millions of years, the unique and expressive grape variety Riesling, and the intricate hand work in the vineyard and cellar. Long-lasting and sustainable wines - for endless enjoyment.
