A lateral entrant winery with Grand Cru locations on the Upper Mosel and Saar – shell limestone meets slate.

On the Upper Mosel, we are known for our "Gemischte Sätze" on shell limestone - Chardonnay clones (85%) with low yield. The resulting wines are reminiscent of Chablis and other appellations of northern Burgundy, but without being copies.

Our steep sites on the Saar in Wiltinger Klosterberg, Wiltinger Braunfels, and Oberemmeler Altenberg have a very high stock of old vines. Their genetic diversity, paired with low yields, guarantees high-quality Rieslings with typical Saar style. Our Pinot Noirs and Frühburgunder from shell limestone and slate enjoy cult status among connoisseurs. The same applies to our sparkling wines, which we produce with long yeast aging and low dosage or as Brut Nature. Our vineyards are cultivated according to organic principles; our work in the cellar is minimalistic and focuses on avoiding interventions in winemaking.

Cellar tours upon request, wine tastings (optionally with accompanying dishes), wine walks with wine tasting by appointment.
