Winery Selbach-Oster

Selbach-Oster wine estate in Zeltingen-Rachtig holiday resort on the Moselle cultivates 98% Riesling and 2% Pinot Blanc on 21 hectares of shale vineyards. The vineyards are located in some of the steep slope sites of the Middle Moselle: Zeltingen (“Schlossberg”, “Sonnenuhr” and “Himmelreich”), Wehlen (“Sonnenuhr”), Graach (“Domprobst” and “Himmelreich”) and Bernkastel (“Badstube”).
Age-old, ungrafted vines cover a large part of the vineyards. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in order to preserve the freshness and delicate flavor of the wines. For maturation, they use traditional fuder barrels and small stainless steel tanks. For several years, the German press has listed Selbach-Oster wine estate among the 100 best wineries in Germany. It is one of the top wineries in the Moselle region.
