Winery von Othegraven

The Othegraven winery has been in existence since the 16th century. The operation is one of the founding members of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter VDP. The majestic manor house, the park, and the Kanzemer Altenberg are protected as a historical ensemble. Günther Jauch's grandmother was born von Othegraven. Her brother Maximilian took over the estate from their ancestors Grach-Weissebach in 1925. As a child, Günther Jauch often visited Uncle Max and Aunt Maria in Kanzem. In 2010, Günther Jauch and his wife Thea took over the Othegraven winery from Dr. Heidi Kegel. He and his wife now run the winery in the 7th generation. It has been in family ownership since 1805. Precision handwork in the vineyard, sensitive intuition in the cellar – this is what our experienced and dedicated staff stand for. Our well-rehearsed team possesses the necessary knowledge, patience, and dedication to create unique wines from our special locations.
